Brim Financial is a new Fintech company issuing credit products to consumers in the Canadian market. We’re strategically growing our team with key positions required to support our Tech, Product, Design and Marketing teams.

We’re seeking skilled, hands-on and highly motivated individuals looking to expand their careers by being integral members of designing, testing and deploying a brand-new credit offering in Canada with unique, first-to-market features and benefits.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a full stack developer with experience in building software products to join our team. Our ideal candidate can switch between front-end & back-end development easily, is innovative and passionate, and a creative problem solver who looks at the big picture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop accessible, efficient, testable and responsive front-end interfaces using JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Build maintainable and scalable CSS, with knowledge of architectural patterns
• Code responsive emails with optimized HTML and in-line CSS
• Develop and integrate back-end applications and emails (system-based & sequenced-based marketing triggers)
• Work alongside designers to implement user interactions
• Design and develop new API endpoints

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and MySQL database
• Comfortable with front-end & back-end languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
• Experience developing for marketing automation tools (especially MailChimp)
• Experience with project management tools (JIRA, trello)
• Strong sense of initiative, highly motivated and detail oriented

Nice to have

• Experience in building UI modules and systems with React or Angular
